Wheat futures ended the day mostly higher. MPLS was the strongest, as it showed gains of 6 to 10 1/2 cents. KC was up 3 to 5 cents on the day, as CHI was the weakest market, but still managed to post gains of 1 1/4 to 2 cents in the front months. In Monday’s Crop Progress report, winter wheat in KS was reported at 9% headed, up from 3% last year and the 5 year average of 6%. There have been reports of stripe rust in the southeast parts of KS.
