Wheat futures ended Friday fractionally to 3 1/2 cents higher on most contracts. MPLS was a penny higher, as May 17 gained 10 1/2 cents on the week. CHI and KC both lost 4 1/4 and 2 cents respectively since last Friday. The North American Millers’ Association estimates US 2017 SRW production at 314.325 million bushels, that would be 9% lower than 2016. US wheat export commits as a percent of total projected USDA exports are 3% behind the 5 year average of 95% for this date.
